22: Dualism
Session 22 — Dualism (10.14.26)
Much of our psychological suffering rests on a single illusion, dualism. We are neurologically, socially, and culturally predisposed to experiencing the world through the mind-body, subject-object, self-other splitting of reality. It’s an illusion that doesn’t survive scrutiny. Just as knowing the mechanics of a magician’s trick dispels the illusion of magic, knowing the mechanics of dualism dispels illusion of dualism, and with its disillusionment, comes the dissolution of psychological suffering.
